Product Description

Uniplatin 10mg Injection consists of active ingredient called Cisplatin. It is indicated for cancer in testis, ovaries, bladder, stomach, lungs, cervix and head and neck. This medicine can be used alone or in combination with other chemotherapy treatment. It acts against the cells that causes specific cancers. It induces vomiting, hence drugs indicated for vomiting are administered before this therapy.

Before taking this medicine, let your doctor if you have or had kidney disease as the medicine affects the functioning of the kidney.  Many other medicines can affect, or be affected by, this medicine so let your healthcare team know all medications you are using. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. It may cause infertility in men, hence they should seek medical advice about sperm freezing before beginning treatment.

Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.

Side Effects

Serious:

• Allergic reactions
• Neuropathy
• Kidney problems
• Changes in liver functions
• Severe chest pain
• Pain or swelling at the site of injection
• Confusion, slurry speech, paralysis
• Stroke

Common:

• Blood clots in vein
• Fast, irregular or slow heartbeats
• Sepsis
• Decrease in bone marrow function
• Decrease in the number of WBC, RBC, Platelets, sodium in blood
• High temperature
• Vomiting
• Excess urination

Storage

Store below 30℃
