Ujvira 100mg Injection is a targeted therapy containing the active constituent trastuzumab emtansine. It is used to treat adults with a type of breast cancer (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 positive breast cancer) that has spread to other parts of the body or has not improved after treatment with other medications.

Ujvira 100mg Injection is also given after surgery to kill any cancer cells left in the breast (adjuvant therapy). This medication is not recommended for adolescents and children under 18 years of age. Use effective birth control during the treatment and for at least seven months after the last dose. 

Before taking this medicine, it is vital to inform your doctor if you have any blood clot disorders, liver disorders, or allergic conditions. Make sure you tell your physician of all the medicines, including supplements and herbal medicines, you are taking before you start treatment with Ujvira 100mg Injection.

Side Effects

Serious:

• Liver problems
• Unexpected bruising, bleeding
• Infusion reactions (fever, fits, flushing, difficulty breathing, rapid heartbeat)
• Heart problems (chest pain, cough, shortness of breath when lying flat or at rest, swollen arms or ankles)

Common:

• Low blood cell counts
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea, constipation
• Stomach ache
• Dry mouth
• Urinary tract infection
• Inflammation of the mouth, bleeding from the gums
• Sleeping trouble
• Joint or muscle pain
• Headache, dizziness
• Weakness
