Product Description

Mitomycin 40mg Injection is an antitumor antibiotic containing the active constituent mitomycin. It is used to treat advanced pancreatic cancer, breast cancer, stomach cancer and cancer of the respiratory tract. Cancer is a condition in which cells multiply in an uncontrolled and abnormal manner. This medicine is used alone or in combination with other anticancer medicines. 

Talk to your doctor if you have lung disorders, kidney disorders, liver problems, bone marrow disorders, bleeding problems, infection, recently vaccinated with live virus vaccine, or undergoing radiation therapy before taking this medicine. Mitomycin 40mg Injection is not recommended for children and adolescents. 

Use effective birth control during the treatment and for at least six months after the last dose. Report to your doctor if you experience any hypersensitive reactions while taking Mitomycin 40mg Injection. Nausea and vomiting are common side effects of this medication.

How to use

Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.

Side Effects

Severe:

• Severe allergic reactions (faintness, skin rash, swelling of lips, face and airway with difficulty in breathing, loss of consciousness)
• Severe lung disease
• Kidney problems

Common:

• Nausea, vomiting
• Low blood cell count
• Cough, shortness of breath
• Inflammation
• Bruising, bleeding
• Numbness, swelling and painful redness on palms and soles
