Naphazoline + Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Boric Acid + Zinc Sulfate + Sodium Chloride + Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose + Phenyl Mercuric Nitrate is a combination of six medicines: Naphazoline , Chlorpheniramine Maleate , Boric Acid , Zinc Sulfate , Sodium Chloride and Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose . Naphazoline is a decongestant which works by narrowing blood vessels of the eye to relieve redness and swelling. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic which blocks the action of certain chemical messengers responsible for red, itchy, watery eyes. Boric Acid and Zinc Sulfate are are antiseptics which treat bacterial infection in the eye and relieve irritation. Sodium Chloride is a purified salt solution which cleanses the eye and reduces swelling. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is a lubricant similar to natural tears. It provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort.
How to use
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
