Alveofact 50mg Injection is a natural surfactant that is extracted from bovine lungs. It is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, bovine lung extract composed of phospholipids, neutral lipids, fatty acids and surfactant associated proteins. Alveofact 50mg Injection is primarily indicated for babies and premature infants with body weight of 1250g and below. 

How to use

Alveofact 50mg Injection should be used only when there is enough facility for ventilation and monitoring. This medicine should be administered via intra-tracheal route. Your baby’s physician and nurse should constantly monitor to ensure that the right amount of oxygen is given. Dosing shall be stopped by the physician in case of slow heartbeat or reduced oxygen in circulation and resumed only after the condition is stable.

Serious: 

• Bleeding in the brain.
• Bleeding in the lungs.

Common:

• Slow heart rate.
