Myzotem 250mg Capsule consists of the active substance Temozolomide. It is prescribed to treat adults with brain cancer. It is the standard drug used in combination with radiotherapy to treat patients with glioblastoma multiforme and anaplastic astrocytoma. Glioblastoma and anaplastic astrocytoma are the most common and aggressive brain cancers with low chances of survival. Anaplastic astrocytoma is treated with Myzotem 250mg Capsule or radiotherapy after biopsy, whereas Glioblastoma multiforme is treated with a combination of radiotherapy and Myzotem 250mg Capsule and then Myzotem 250mg Capsule is continued as maintenance therapy.
Before taking it, tell your doctor if have bleeding, liver, or kidney problems or are taking any medicines to treat infections. Many other medicines can affect, or be affected by, this medicine so let your doctor know all medications you are using. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. It may harm your baby. You and your partner should avoid becoming pregnant or fathering a child for several months after your treatment with it has stopped.
