Themicaine 2% Injection consists of the active substance Lidocaine. It is a local anaesthetic that is indicated to produce numbness by injecting in the area of operation. It is injected before starting surgical procedures of short duration. It produces loss of feeling or sensation in one part of the body.

Side Effects
Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them.
Serious:
- Severe allergic reactions
- Bluish discoloration of the skin
- Wheezing, itching, breathlessness, swelling of face, eyelids, mouth, etc.
Common:
- Pain at the site of injection
- Temporary pain at the lower back, buttocks, legs which resolves within a few days
- Numbness or tingling/paralysis of legs
